Zoë was born and raised on a cattle and grain farm in Gladstone, Manitoba. Her love for animals and veterinary medicine developed at a young age through caring for various animals at home and travelling to farms with her mum, who is a large animal veterinarian. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She then moved to the United Kingdom, where she obtained her Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine from the Royal Veterinary College in London, England.
Zoë spent her first year in practice in Rochester, New York, before relocating to Victoria in 2020 to plant roots on the west coast. She shares her home with her fiancé, Andrew, and their feisty senior cat, Ellie. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, crocheting, cooking, and exploring the beautiful island.
