Paul was born in beautiful Ecuador. He grew up visiting his grandparents’ mountain house on weekends and holidays, where he developed a strong curiosity and love for nature, with a particular focus on animals. He obtained his Veterinary Medical Degree in 2018 from Universidad San Francisco de Quito, in his hometown. After graduating, he completed a one-year rotating internship in an equine practice in Texas, USA and then moved back home to do veterinary work with some equine, farm and small animal patients.
In 2023 he obtained his AVMA’s ECFVG certification, achieving all the requirements to practice as a DVM in the USA and Canada. Paul’s inspiration as a clinician is to strengthen the bond between pets and their people through animal health.
In his spare time Paul enjoys making art, practicing yoga, going outdoors hiking or riding his bike.
