Daisy came to McKenzie by an animal rescue organization 8 years ago when she was about 4 months old. She had been found lying in a field, extremely sick with parvovirus. One of our technicians Nicolle instantly fell in love with her and started the long process of nursing her back to health. It was a very long road to recovery, and since Daisy had to come work every day to be fed and medicated, the entire team quickly fell in love with her too. Luckily, she fully recovered and became the early morning hospital greeter as the team arrived each day. Daisy now spends her days at work laying right in the middle of the lab, the center of attention, always ready to offer a snuggle and kiss when anyone on the team needs a quiet moment of comfort.
When she's not at work she spends her time bothering her brothers and spending time at the beach or on the boat fishing with her Mom and Dad. Daisy lives the typical west coast lifestyle and loves the ocean and all things around it. She also likes to go for hikes in the woods, snuggling and eating every type of dog treat she can find.
