Kaylyn’s childhood was spent in Pickering, Ontario on weekdays, and up at their family cottage on weekends. Always outside and surrounded by nature is how Kaylyn remembers her childhood and where her love for animals began. Her time at the cottage was spent helping her father build and maintain the property, ripping around on a mini ATV, enjoying nature and observing wildlife.
Her passion and love for animals led her to pursue a degree in Zoology from the University of Guelph. During her summers off, she worked at Toronto Zoo gaining confidence with a wide range of animals both large and small. After completing her undergrad, she set her sights on Guelph’s Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program.
When not in the clinic, Kaylyn can be found either playing with her retired blood donor cat, Diego, or off exploring the island with her partner, Josh. Their latest endeavour involves jumping on the van conversion trend and creating a hiking/biking adventure basecamp.
